This challenge is a bit sad giving everything going on but I’ll take a look. They don’t have any performances scheduled yet but it says that they still do plan to dance this summer! Ballet Vermont is very unique in that they do ballet barefoot outside! I’ll keep an eye on when they do post their performance schedule and maybe try to catch one!
My handwriting isn’t that great to be honest, I’d like to get better but I have to write so slowly to write well and I always write in a hurry because I’m afraid if I take too long I’ll lose what I’m trying to write!
Well this year my wishlist is to travel literally anywhere!! But here are some short term and long term places I want to go
1.) Japan, specifically Tokyo
I don’t know any Lolita who doesn’t want to visit harajuku at least once in their life but I also really like anime as well so I feel like I would be doubly excited. As I’m still getting my life set up right now this won’t happen this year but once my finances are settled I want to start planning this
2.) Montreal
I have been trying to go to Montreal since I got my enhanced license! Unfortunately whenever there’s been an opportunity I’ve been working, or a pandemic hit. I desperately want to go and have some hope that if this pandemic clears up I may be able to go this fall
3.) Paradiso
I have my ticket for it in June, I hope either it gets postponed again or the pandemic is gone by then. I am so excited and even bought a special dress for the occasion last year
4.) San Francisco
This is so I can go visit the two brand stores in the U.S. plus I’ve never been there!
5.) Disneyland
I really want to go to Disneyland Lolita Day one of these years! It looks amazing and fun!
1.) Use a damp paper product and then a dry paper product rubbed on the wet spot and test all of the different colors of your dress to see if any colors run, if they do don’t continue,
2.) Full a tub or basin with water as cold as you can get it
3.) Add a little bit of mild detergent
4.) Dip the dress into the tub
5.) Leave the dress in there for no more than 5 minutes only lightly swishing the water
6.) Drain the basin or tub, and fill with clean water as cold as you can get it
7.) Dip the dress into the basin or tub until the water that drips off is no longer sudsy
8.) Hang the dress to dry Please try this method at your own risk!
This year I learned that lace is made in a variety of ways! I wanted to show a bit of the needle lacework that I learned but I am currently working on saving money so that will have to wait. I learned that lace can be tatted with a shuttle and a needle, crocheted or made on a bobbin as well as chemical lace. Lace comes in a variety of ways! There’s lots of resources on YouTube relating to that fact,

I am the most realistically going to be able to go to this store! I discovered it on Tiktok and it’s only a couple hours away from me! Also I follow the owner on social media and they seem really cool
2.) BtSSB + AP San Francisco
My favorite ballet is Swan Lake and that’s technically based on a fairy tale, I’ve wanted to do an Odette inspired coord for awhile now and I’m very happy with how it turned out
Here I’ll have a mix of places you are most likely to find lolitas in Vermont and places that have a cute theme but we have yet to go!
1.) Church Street, Burlington.
You are the most likely to run into someone wearing Lolita fashion on Church Street! Many meetups happen there and it’s where many college kids hang out. I found a now member of my current comm in a Starbucks randomly one day.
2.) My Little Cupcake
This has been a popular place for meetups through the years and perfectly on theme!! It’s also in Burlington
3.) Hana, Japanese Restaurant
This is a wonderful restaurant that I’ve been to many times! The staff is always wonderfully accommodating of our meets. It’s been a little while
4.) Kitty Korner Cafe, Barre, VT
This has been a favorite of mine recently! Due to the pandemic we haven’t been able to have a full meet there but I adore going and can’t wait to plan one once it’s safe again to do so. I feel as if cat cafe’s are a classic
5.) Shelburne Museum
This is a popular meetup place as well! Sadly I haven’t been able to go to any because I swear there is a curse on this meet in our comm
6.) The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory!
This was an extraordinary meet and even though we only went once it was so fun and so one theme for everyone it was one of the best and most fun meets we’ve done.
7.) Each Other’s Houses!
I feel I really took for granted the luxury of so many members of my comm often hosting out of their homes, it was always a super fun and affordable way to have a meet up, and it’s probably the meets that I miss the most right now.
